Pathway to Becoming a Biomedical Engineer

Aval: Business & Industry | STEM

Biomedical engineers must obtain at least a bachelor's degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or engineering with biological science electives. Programs should give hands on experience in laboratory work, circuit design, fluid and solid mechanics, while many programs co-op with medical laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, or hospitals to provide practical applications.

To lead research teams to the forefront of patient care, biomedical engineers typically need a graduate degree in engineering or business administration depending if they would like to move into high level research or managerial work respectively.

Useful Tech to get Ahead
